Both the Hopkins and Wayland varsity volleyball teams will be in action at the district tournament Wednesday evening at Wayland High School’s gym.
The Lady Wildcats, coached by Krissy Dill, are coming off a successful season in which they were second in the O-K Gold Conference behind state-ranked Grand Rapids Catholic Central. They will take on Hamilton at 5 p.m. in the first semifinal round game.
Hopkins, with an overall record of 31-14-3, finished with a 7-4 record in the O-K Silver Conference. Coached by Terri Wisser, they will play South Christian in the other district semifinal at 7 p.m.
Winners of Wednesday’s matches will meet for the district title at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4.
