Wildcats’ victory likely assures a winning season

It probably was the biggest win of the season Friday night when Wayland captured a 28-14 verdict over visiting Kenowa Hills.

The Wildcats now have an excellent chance to record their first winning season since 2013 when they went 6-5 overall an d make the post-season playoffs. They have only Ottawa Hills and South Christian left on their schedule and they are 4-3 overall.

Ottawa is struggling through a winless campaign, so barring an upset, a fifth victory would assure a winning record.

Kenowa, with the defeat, fell to 2-5 overall.
