Lacey James, a 2015 graduate of Wayland High School, is averaging 10.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for the Northern Illinois University basketball team this season. The Huskies, who play in the Mid-American Conference along with Western and Central Michigan, defeated Oakland University Saturday to improve their record to 4-2 overall. James, a 6-9 forward listed as a junior, scored 15 points in a loss last week to James Madison and collected eight points in the win over Oakland.
